Sankt Annæ Gymnasium, Aurehøj Gymnasium og Det Åbne Gymnasium fik onsdag d. 3. februar fløjet Thomas Ziehe, tysk professor i pædagogik, ind fra Hannover, for at holde oplæg om (nye) elevtyper og læring i det senmoderne samfund.
Centralt i Thomas Ziehes oplæg såvel som hans seneste bøger står "post-detraditionalisering". Herunder gengives Thomas Ziehes forsøg på at begrebsliggøre de kulturelle ændringer.
After
detraditionalization?
For
decades, there used to be a generational gap: youths were (typically) in favour
of overcoming the traditions and adults were apt to defend traditions (to some
extent). This long-term pattern of a generation conflict now seems to be
transformed.- Contemporary adults meanwhile have gone through a considerably
detraditionalized life journey themselves. So, to be pro or contra “tradition”
in most social milieus is no longer a key quarrel between the young and the
middle generation. Moreover, the present youth generation has to cope with so
many effects of disembedding that meanwhile they are in search for a sense of
belonging, for encounters of homefullness, for reliable structurations. And that
mood can be referred to family life and to school climate as well. Possibly,
pedagogy will be facing a period of
“post-detraditionalization”. Most likely, there will be a considerable
change in the relevance systems the students will pick up quite incidentally.
